Wow! It has been to long between posts. Since the last one I have been working on a few commissions (two of which are leaning up against the wall above) as well as holding a Christmas exhibition of the new pieces.

Ive been working on a series of fabric and raw canvas hangings, exploring memory and creating images that I see as snapshots of my experiences in New York. These photographs show these works in development, I have been inspired by new techniques that have grown from moving into fabric medium.

Working on a 'Cranky' at Theatre for the New City for they're summer street theatre show, called "Gone Fission" (www.theaterforthenewcity.net). The cranky is a 120' long canvas that roles on to reveal each scene of the play, here I am working with a long bamboo to paint, definitely a challenge for my depth perception! This was just before we painted in Mary's (the scenic artist) trade mark teletubies.

These photos are from about 5 weeks ago during Makers Market at Socrates sculpture park in Queens NY. This is Spring Design and Art's stand, which I co-designed. Spring3D is an innovative DUMBO (Brooklyn, NY) based gallery where I am currently interning.

This triptych was a recent commission completed just before I set off for New York. The piece is a deconstructed narrative; each panel is a scene representing an element of the story.

These are the first experiments for a new series of raw canvas hangings I have been working on. The two fabrics were painted as one and then seperated to explore their three dimentional potential.
